Why do we need a new Membership System?The data base system designed over 10 years ago by Terry Dillon and implemented by retiring Membership Officer Len Jeffers is due for replacement. It is now complex, clunky, difficult to learn and based on Microsoft Access which may not be maintained in the future. With Len's imminent retirement, there is a need for a new membership system.
After carefully monitoring the Member Wizard Membership System being offered to Victorian U3A branches through U3A Network Victoria, the Committee of Management decided to launch a trial of Member Wizard in early April 2026. Why Online?We experimented with an online form some years ago, knowing it was the way of the future. We've decided to take the plunge - but we are going slowly and will continue to offer a paper based option, with support in applying and renewing on-line provided to members on request

Adapting our Website for Member WizardThe U3A Benalla website has lots of photos, stories and videos on it which would be lost if we moved to a Member Wizard website.
We decided to trial adapting our website to include Member Wizard. This page is the result! Based on our website design,it is allowing us to experiment and gradually move towards introducing the changes needed on our website.
Nillumbik U3A has also retained its content rich Website, adapting it for MW Membership Portal and Courses. They advised us that this was relatively easy to do, giving us the confidence to try. Thank you Nillumbik!

We recently changing the web address for our Weebly U3A Benalla website to an 'org.au' address. Same house, different address! If you've set up a link to the old address, it will automatically redirect.

Taking part in the trial*Groups contains Member Wizard's list & descriptions of U3A Benalla courses and activities.
*Join contains an trial version of our Join page - we are practising ready for 2027 enrolments. *Member Zone contains the Member (and Convenor) Login; the Admin Team Login; and online forms for New Members and Renewing Members.
